Black blue dress + a link up

Happy Wednesday! Today I’m co-hosting the Jersey Girl Texan Heart link up. What is a link up, you may ask? Link-ups are weekly or monthly online parties for bloggers, more or less. One blogger or a group of bloggers hosts it and encourages other bloggers to link their similar posts up with her’s on her page. It’s a neat way to get your work out there and meet other similarly-minded bloggers.

Each week Monica from Jersey Girl Texan Heart hosts a link up where bloggers can link up whatever is going on in their world. It’s a lot of fun. Her blog too is one I follow. She blogs about style and beauty, but is also not afraid to talk about much deeper things. She’s not afraid to open up and share her struggles, which I respect. I’m sure she’s reached many over the years as a blogger.

So last week, I decided to reach out to her about co-hosting her link up. She obliged and here we are! Oh, and this is Monica, by the way, in her Easter outfit from last week’s link up.

The black blue dress look

Today it’s all about mixing the black and blue in a dress outfit. Recently, I’ve been digging adding pops of royal blue into my outfits. There’s just something so classy about it. Furthermore I have been obsessed with this Perry Street statement necklace. I got it in my first Rocksbox shipment and could simply not let it go. By the way, have you heard of Rocksbox? It’s a monthly jewelry subscription service. If you use my code NINABFF102, you can get your first month free!

This dress is one of my new favorites! I love something with a little poof and pizazz to it! I found it at the Charlotte Russe outlet for only $16!

Then I switched it up with the most comfortable flats ever. These are Charming Charlie and I’m obsessed.

    1. My favorite thing about Charming Charlie is how everything is color-coordinated. So when I have an idea of what color I need for an outfit, it’s easy to find that matching accessory.

    1. Thanks Diane! It was fun … it all started with that blue necklace. It costed a tad more than I usually spend on jewelry but it’s been a great staple to have.

  3. Hi Nina, I have stopped by before. I like you love dresses and own a lot of them (over 100). Love this latest dress of yours, so girly and fun. I love it paired both with the red and the blue. Nice to see you co-host with Monica today. I love Monica’s blog, too. =)

Welcome by and linkup with me for “Thursday Moda” tomorrow. Come link up your latest looks – I would love to have you. Thanks, Ada. =)

    1. Wow over 100! I would have that many if I didn’t occasionally go through my closet and give away what I do not wear any longer. And yes, I have linked up with you before. I’ll have to do so tomorrow!

  4. I can’t believe you got such an amazing dress for $16!! There are so many ways you can mix it up and dress it up or dress down. I love that you added UK blue! Yes, in Lexington, it’s called Kentucky blue, not royal blue. 🙂
