Staying in a Bubble Hotel in Spain

Staying in a bubble hotel in Spain has probably been my most unique hotel experience to date. When I saw that one of Nomading Camp’s bubble campgrounds was only a 45-minute drive from my house, I decided that I had to spend a night there!

Now what exactly do I mean by a bubble hotel? Basically you can sleep inside of an inflated bubble. Each bubble has a private gate so that you have all the privacy in the world. There’s a full-sized bed, a small table and an enclosed bathroom with a toilet and bathtub. The experience is more like glamping than anything else.

A Barcelona Hostel You Will Love

When traveling to a big city like Barcelona, you want where you stay to be comfortable. After hours of walking around, the perfect Barcelona hostel has space for you to kick up your feet. From the dorm beds to lobby to the second floor common area where nightly movie nights are held, Unite Hostel was one of the most comfortable hostels I’ve ever stayed at.

Several months ago before the full Corona Virus outbreak, I went to Barcelona with Alex from East Coast Contessa. While I had been to Barcelona a few times before, I knew there were things I still hadn’t seen. Plus it’s always fun to revisit places with new people.

A Weekend in León, Spain

weekend in León

When my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to spend a weekend in León with him for a friend’s sort of wedding celebration thing (said friend apparently hates suits), I said why not? The thing with living in Spain is even three years in, I still have unexplored cities and towns. The country is simply full of too many amazing places.

I’ll admit that before spending a weekend in León, I knew very little about the city. I knew that the name of the autonomous region Castilla y León came from the city and that it had an impressive cathedral. What I didn’t know is how much I’d end up loving the city.

Meet Me 23: A Quirky and Modern Prague Hotel

modern Prague hotel

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Prague is a little bit weird. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always enjoyed every Prague visit. However the city has this sort of quirky charm and the modern Prague hotel Meet Me 23 just proves it even more.

Located right next to the Hlavní Nadrazí train station (where you can catch trains to cities and towns all over the country and region) and within minutes of Old Town Prague, this hotel could not be in a better location. However it’s location, while excellent, is not what makes this place loveably quirky. Instead the blue men are what make you do a double-take when you arrive.

An Escape to a Czech Countryside Hotel

Czech countryside hotel

Sometimes the worst travel fails make for the best stories afterwards. When the end of your travel fails includes a stay at a luxury Czech countryside hotel, it’s not really so bad in the end. Let me back up.

So back in June, Alex (blogger friend from East Coast Contessa) and I spent a night out in the Czech village of Karlstejn. An escape from the bustle of Prague was just the thing we needed. However the journey out there was filled with a few hilarious bumps along the way. After a train that went back to the Prague train station and bad Google Maps directions, we finally ended up at the romantic Hotel Mlyn Karlstejn. Yes, I went to a romantic hotel with my blogger bestie.

The Best Hostel in Helsinki City Centre

One of my favorite things to do as a blogger is show you that travel doesn’t have to be as expensive as you probably think. When you hear about Finland or Northern Europe in general, you probably don’t associate it with the phrase budget-friendly. However when I went to Helsinki back in June, I stayed in the most affordable hostel in Helsinki city centre.

Today I’m going to tell you all about Euro Hostel Helsinki City Hub! Prices start out around 26€/night. When hotels can cost triple that, that’s really not too bad of a price. Plus only 2-3 people share a dorm room at this hostel, so if you go for the lowest price, it won’t be like some hostels where you’re sharing a room with 10-20 strangers.

A Historic Prague Hotel in the City Centre

Sometimes a simple change of location lets you see a place from a new perspective. Last month, I stayed in the Appia Residences Prague for the first time. However it was not my first time in Prague. I had been to the city several times a few summers ago when I spent several months working in the Czech Republic. The visits were nice but short. So this time around, it was nice to enjoy the city from the comforts of a historic Prague hotel.

A Gozo Island Luxury Hotel, the perfect Malta escape

Gozo Island luxury hotel

I recently had a little escape to Malta. Part of my 6-day solo trip was treating myself to a bit of luxury. What better way to do that than at Gozo Island Luxury Hotel? After all, Gozo is a true escape from the busier main island of Malta.

Last month, I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Duke Boutique Hotel in the city of Victoria on Gozo Island in Malta. So I thought I’d share some of the details with you all as I would highly recommend spending some time on the lovely island of Gozo if you make a trip to Malta.

The Cutest Hostel in Barcelona

cutest hostel in Barcelona

On my way to the airport to fly to sunny Malta, I decided to spend a night in the cutest hostel in Barcelona. After all, it was Semana Santa (Spring break). I had the time, so I figured I might as well go up a day early as to not feel as rushed.

One thing I love writing about is how to travel on a budget. I find that so many people think that travel has to be expensive. They think that any trip to Europe costs thousands of dollars or euros. However it doesn’t have to break the bank. That’s why I love writing about places like Primavera Hostel.

Vienna House: A Dresden Historic Center Hotel

Dresden historic center hotel

Do you know the feeling of looking out your window and feeling like you’re in a fairy tale? While this isn’t what I would consider to be a part of my everyday life, I got to experience the life royalty when I went to Dresden, Germany. You see, when you stay in a Dresden historic center hotel, all you have to do is take a peek our your window.

At the beginning of March, I met up with blogger friend Alex from East Coast Contessa in Germany for five days. In addition to visiting the famous capital of Berlin, we decided to add Dresden to our visit. This lesser-known city is full of charm. Our stay at the Vienna House made our visit to Dresden all the more enjoyable.
