A little red dress is another essential dress to own. Today I’m teaming up with some other fashion bloggers in our little red dresses. February in Women’s Heart Disease Month and hence we are all wearing red for that.
What’s the story behind this dress?
I found this dress on my weekend trip to Guadix. They have this Saturday market there and I found this for just 10 euros! I love this style of a fit and flair dress. I also love the buttons on the sleeves.
These photos, however, were shot in Granada about a week later. It was pretty darn cold when these were shot. I was trying to not show it, though.
This outfit is a mix of different things that I threw together. The boots are from a shop here in Spain called Kiabi. They were only 20 euros! I’m glad I bought them because I literally wear them everywhere. A tan pair of booties seem to just go with everything. I also find them to be a nice contrast to black tights.
The headband is actually handmade from a shop in Olympia, Washington in the United States. This company called Pieces to Peaces sent me a few to try out and I have just loved them. They are perfect when I really have no idea what to do with my hair.
The owl necklace was found at a local shop in Granada called Ikka Shop. Their stuff is pretty affordable.
Go red for women’s heart disease month
There was actually an event at New York Fashion Week where celebrities wore red to raise awareness. You can read all about it and who walked here. This website has all sorts of ways that you can get involved.
As mentioned above, I’m joining with 10 other bloggers. We are all styling our red dresses today! Make sure to go check them out and leave them some comment love! As always, thank you to Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood for getting us all together! She was up late last night working on the post and a work project. Many of us bloggers also work full-time. In Ada’s case, she works, blogs and is a mother. That’s a lot to balance!
Do you have a little red dress? How do you like to style yours?
