First of all, I’m sorry for the pun. That was just … there are no excuses. Anyway I often find myself at Target. That place is a sinkhole, whether it’s shoes, housewares, storage bins and other random things. I’ve actually found some of my favorite dresses at Target. So the other day, I decided to take a look around. First, we’ll start with my favorite.
This is a nice, bohemian dress. It would be perfect with a pair of boots and a scarf. Ladies, do you have a good pair of boots? There are many good options out there and if you search, you can find a good deal. It’s worth it to continue wearing your favorite dresses through the cold weather.
This season, we tend to see a lot of tunic-style dresses. It’s funny how things change. A few seasons ago, I seemed to be adding a belt to everything I wore.
Next we take look at some more flowy dresses. I will say that maxi dresses have started to grow on me. I honestly was not a fan when they first became trendy again. I don’t feel like every maxi dress is flattering, but they can be pulled off.
I’m not 100% sold on this blue dress. It reminds me of these horrible dresses I used to have to wear for orchestra concerts in high school. They were never flattering. I do, however, love the pattern on this black number to the right.
Next we have the dresses that are short in the front and long in the back. I never learned the official name of these kinds of dresses because I honestly never cared for them. I’m sure they’re flattering, but they just seemed odd.
It looks like these dresses are here to stay for this season. This one in particular would look great with tights and a pair of shorter combat boots. I am definitely loving this blue print!
I want to end with the dress that made me question all the things. Like what is this and why? I’m just not a fan. What is with those sleeves and spaghetti straps? Why is it so short? You could basically only wear this to the club. While I like the club in moderation, my life doesn’t dictate that I buy clothes soley for those excursions. Target, I give you a 7/10 this season for dresses.
