I’ll admit that it’s been a while since I wore an elegant, feminine dress. You know … one that twirls and looks fabulous with a good pair of heels. However this Marraine Boutique pink dress did just the trick.
This was my last photo shoot in Granada for a while. Some of you may have seen on social media that I moved from the South of Spain to the North. It was fun to shoot some photos in some of my favorite spots around the city.
The Marraine Boutique pink dress
Much like many things and people, I found out about Marraine Boutique on Instagram. They have many cute and classy dresses, so of course they caught my attention. They have a focus on post-natal fashion, but many of their customers have never had a baby (like me, for example). I love that a shop like this exists for post-natal women. I’ve never been in that situation, but I imagine finding clothing and then clothing you like is difficult.
All the products are hand-made in Ireland. The shop was started by Valentina, an American who married an Irish guy and now lives in Ireland with her daughter. She had always dreamed of creating fashion and she is now finally living that out.
The dress
I love everything about this dress. The pattern is absolutely beautiful. The flow of the dress is also quite nice. If I turn around in a circle, it has a nice twirl-factor to it. In fact, this dress is called the spin dress.
One thing I’ve always been a bit self-conscious about is my stomach. It tends to be where I carry weight. I always talk about how I need to work out more and tone it up. Perhaps I really will this fall as I just joined the gym! A dress like this was perfect! She handmade the belt as well and it went well with the dress!
