Jewel: the Site to Save on Luxury

save on luxury

One thing I absolutely love to do is find ways to save money. Whether it be a flight or a new dress, I will spend hours on the Internet searching for the best deal. In the back of my head, I’m always thinking “there has got to be a cheaper price somewhere!” So naturally, I love websites that offer cash back when shopping. I’ve recently discovered a website that allows you to save on luxury.

From time to time, I like to splurge a little bit when it comes to both travel and fashion. So when I found the website Jewel, I was hooked. Their whole thing is to save on luxury. It simply doesn’t have to be as expensive as we think! They have both brands that I already know and love, and brands that are completely new to me. So I thought I would walk you through my experience with the site a bit.

Creating an account

It is 100% free to use Jewel. The sign up process was super easy. I simply created my account with an e-mail address and a password. I love how easy and no-strings-attached it was to sign up. I always hate it when websites ask for a lot of information. From there, I was able to start searching for deals.

Oh and I forgot the best part … they give you $5 when you sign up! Who doesn’t love some free money?

What you can find

A lot of these types websites have a wide range of brands. That has it’s benefits and drawbacks. With Jewel, it’s clear that the brands you can find on their website are hand-picked. If you come to Jewel looking to save on luxury, you will find exactly what you’re looking for. You can get up to 15% cashback, depending on the offer.

They have the categories broken down into men, women, athleisure, health & beauty, lifestyle, travel and shoes & accessories. The homepage features some of their new offers and some of the most popular ones.

What you can find in travel

Since I’m a travel blogger, it should surprise no one that I went straight to the travel section. I have some upcoming trips to plan and I wanted to see what they had to offer.

First, I browsed a few of the airlines. Depending on my budget, I’m considering a trip to New Zealand in September to visit friends of mine who have moved there. Etihad offers 1.4% cashback, so I was playing around with the idea of a stop over in the UAE before heading down under. Other airlines that offer cashback through Jewel include Emirates. AirFrance and Qatar Airways.

Then I started to look at hotels. The majority of the travel companies featured on Jewel are for accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of options. There were home rental sites such as HomeAway and VBRO. There were more pricey hotel companies such as Waldorf Astoria and the Hilton as well as websites such as hotels.com where you can find accommodation of all prices.

I went to hotels.com to browse accommodation for an upcoming trip and scored a deal for a few weekends from now! It looks like I’ll be going to Burgos, Spain for a mini weekend trip in April! I also spent a little bit of time looking at accommodation for an upcoming Barcelona trip. As a travel blogger, I’m always planning for some sort of upcoming trip.

What else I was loving

I was also happy to find a mixture of brands in this section. Some of my favorties such as Modcloth and River Island offer decent cashback incentives. You also could save on luxury with brands like Jimmy Choo and Coach.

In the health and beauty section, I was very excited to find Clinique! If I’m brand loyal to any cosmetics brand, it’s probably this one! I love their foundations and their moisturizers, so I was loving that they offer an 8% cashback incentive on Jewel! I’m definitely going to keep this website in mind when it comes time to replace my moisturizer.

The athleisure section had a lot of good deals as well. I find that I can never have too many workout clothes. In this section, you can find brands like Lululemon.

Jewel: saving on luxury

Overall, the website was easy to navigate both from a desktop and a mobile phone. I’ll be honest that when I first heard the words luxury, I assumed that most of the brands would be out of my budget. However much to my surprise, I found a lot of variety on Jewel. It’s a great place to go when I’m in the mood to splurge on a hotel, a pair of shoes or a flight. It’s also a great place to go when I want to find the best cashback rates online.
