If you’re looking for something in between a hostel dorm and a 5-star luxury suite, a holiday apartment might be just the thing you need! When I went to Krakow, Poland a few weeks ago with my blogger friend, we stayed in the perfect Krakow Holiday Apartment!
The apartment is rented out by the Secret Garden Hostel. However don’t let the name fool you because Secret Garden is not your typical hostel. For starters, none of their rooms are dorm-style. So for those of you who feel a bit anxious to share your space with strangers, you don’t have to worry! Their room options range from a single room all the way up to a two-bedroom apartment that could sleep up to six people. Alex from East Coast Contessa and I stayed in one of their two-bedroom apartments!
A comfortable space in the city
This Krakow holiday apartment was located right in the Jewish Quarter of Krakow. When I travel, I always love to stay in cool neighborhoods near the center of the city, but still a bit away. I like accommodation that’s simply not in the most touristy part of town. After a long day of exploring, I could just come unwind in the apartment.
One of the best things about renting an apartment instead of a hotel is the kitchen. Our Krakow holiday apartment came with a full kitchen equipped with all the things we needed to have a snack or cook a meal. Since both of us were traveling on a bit of a budget, we decided to just make some frozen pizza and snacks one evening.
The bedrooms
The best thing about it being a two-bedroom apartment is that we each got our own room. This space would also be perfect for several couples traveling together or a family.
This was the first bedroom. It was a bit more spacious than the second one, but both had beds that slept two people.
This was the second bedroom. It was next to the living room and had a sliding door. This was where I slept.
The bathroom
I was also quite impressed with the bathroom. The place has one spacious bathroom with a shower. I loved the amount of counter space we had! I always like to lay out all my toiletries when I travel.
The breakfast
The Secret Garden Hostel also offers breakfast every morning. It’s 15 PLN which is about 3,53€. It’s pretty reasonable considering the selection you get.
Exploring the garden
As the name gives away, this hostel has an amazing garden out front. We of course took this opportunity to have a little photo shoot. I definitely recommend having a tea or coffee out in their garden.
