Exploring Lagos, Portugal and a linkup

exploring Lagos, Portugal

Hey all! Last week I spent a few days exploring Lagos, Portugal. If you have never been there, Lagos is a town on the beach in the Southern region of Algarve. I stayed with Top City Hostel for three days and had a great time exploring everything. The beaches in Lagos are truly unique.

On my last evening in town, my friend Jade and I from It’s time to explore shot some photos in the town and along the beach. So here’s a little roundup of just that! Also I’m co-hosting a linkup today! The details about that are below! Fashion bloggers, feel free to link up your posts!

Spring dresses with Quiz Clothing

Spring dresses are one of my favorite things to shop for. I’m the girl who wears dresses year-round. In the winter, this means loading up on sweater tights. While I love wearing different colored tights and such, I’m also excited for more “dress weather.” I’m excited for the sun to shine brighter, the temperatures to rise and my spring dresses to live. There’s a boutique I pass on my way home that has transformed their shop into spring. It’s always hard to not walk in and buy six spring dresses.

Quiz Clothing is one online retailer that has quite a selection of spring dresses. Quiz Clothing is a British company that originally started in 1993 with just three shops in Scotland. They now have more than 250 shops and concessions throughout the UK and many franchises throughout Europe. Their online shop started in 2005. Their focus is fun fashion at an affordable price.

My Happiness Boutique statement earrings

Happiness Boutique statement earrings

One piece of jewelry I always wear are earrings. I love to have a wide variety of fun earrings to add to different outfits. When I saw the earrings from Happiness Boutique, I was excited. In fact, it was hard to pick just a few as there were many I liked. These Happiness Boutique statement earrings were what I decided upon.

What is Happiness Boutique?

Happiness Boutique is an online shop based in Berlin, Germany. All of their pieces have a vintage flair to them. Their goal is to spread happiness and joy through their jewelry. On their website, you can find necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. They made this cute video about spreading happiness.

Happiness Boutique also offers free shipping worldwide and a 60-day return policy. So it doesn’t matter if you’re in Berlin or all the way over in California. It will still be the same cost. They also have a super cool reward program where you can earn points for things like joining their newsletter, writing reviews and sharing photos on social media.

A little red dress collaboration

little red dress

A little red dress is another essential dress to own. Today I’m teaming up with some other fashion bloggers in our little red dresses. February in Women’s Heart Disease Month and hence we are all wearing red for that.

What’s the story behind this dress?

I found this dress on my weekend trip to Guadix. They have this Saturday market there and I found this for just 10 euros! I love this style of a fit and flair dress. I also love the buttons on the sleeves.

Pieces to Peaces headscarves

Peaces to Pieces headscarves

I find myself getting stuck in ruts with my hair. I either wear it down and straight (well my hair is naturally straight) or up in a ponytail. However I’ve found that a headscarf can add a little extra to your look and can be perfect for those days you just want to throw your hair up in a bun. Today I’m showing the looks I created with three different Pieces to Peaces headscarves.

What is Pieces to Peaces?

Pieces to Peaces is an American company based in Olympia, Washington. All of their products are handmade by a team of women. They make headscarves, ear warmers, scarves and beanies. You can order their products on their website, at the Olympia Farmer’s Market or you can sell them yourself through their wholesale program if you have a business yourself!

Rosegal Valentines sale

We live in amazing times my friends. I can wake up around 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday morning in Spain. With my coffee in one hand and my Macbook on my lap, I can look through thousands of dresses. I haven’t even changed out of my pjs yet. As I surf the Internet, I begin to think about Rosegal Valentines sale. In fact, there many Valentines sales 2018.

Have you heard of Rosegal? If not, you are in for a treat. They are an online retailer with literally thousands of styles. These are a few of my Rosegal dress picks that I put together this morning. As Valentine’s Day approaches, there are so many fun looks to create. Also they have a pretty sweet Valentine Day Special. If you buy a dress (which I’m always buying), you get two pieces of jewelry for free.

La Boutique de Lulú

La Boutique de Lulú

Even though I have been in Granada for a year and a half, I find that I’m always discovering new things. Several weeks ago was the perfect example of that. I had never been to Granada’s Atarfe despite living only a short bus or car ride away. It’s a small town close to I have been working with a new photographer named Miguel and he has a friend who just opened her own boutique called La Boutique de Lulú. He thought connecting the two of us would be a good idea. I always love to support small and local businesses, so I was down.

The looks

These looks were created from La Boutique de Lulú. She has a good selection of clothing and accessories in her shop. I was immediately drawn to the blue dress. I paired it with this vest and added the purse. We grabbed a handful of dresses and accessories, and headed to shoot some photos before the sunset.

My free Alhambra visit

Alhambra visit

I did it. I finally had my Alhambra visit. I can finally check it off the list.

What’s the Alhambra? Well it’s one of the must-see sites in Granada. Last year I was a failure because I never visited it. Isn’t that how it always works? We often don’t spend enough time being a tourist in our own city. Every weekend last year I meant to go but things came up. A weekend away or a friend’s birthday. I just kept putting it off even though it’s amazing. However when I heard that I could go for free, I was all about it. I had to finally do it.

An Alhambra visit is normally not free. However on Sundays they offer free tickets to Granada residents (if there are tickets available). All you have to do is go to the Alhambra office the week before the Sunday you wish to go. All I needed was to present my NIE that indicates my address in Granada. If any of you live in Granada, you have to take advantage of this! Many Granadinos simply don’t know that they can get free tickets.

5 Gearbest dress picks

I love finding different online shops. While I love going to a shopping center, online shopping is often so much easier. You can browse from the comfort of your own couch. These are my 5 Gearbest dress picks.

I recently found the wonderful online shop Gearbest. This website really has it all. In addition to a wide selection of clothing, they also offer electronics, beauty products, baby products, and home and garden products, to name a few. I of course went straight to their dress selection. What can I say? I basically shop the same way online as I do in a shop.
