Sometimes a simple change of location lets you see a place from a new perspective. Last month, I stayed in the Appia Residences Prague for the first time. However it was not my first time in Prague. I had been to the city several times a few summers ago when I spent several months working in the Czech Republic. The visits were nice but short. So this time around, it was nice to enjoy the city from the comforts of a historic Prague hotel.
The Perfect Krakow Holiday Apartment
If you’re looking for something in between a hostel dorm and a 5-star luxury suite, a holiday apartment might be just the thing you need! When I went to Krakow, Poland a few weeks ago with my blogger friend, we stayed in the perfect Krakow Holiday Apartment!
The apartment is rented out by the Secret Garden Hostel. However don’t let the name fool you because Secret Garden is not your typical hostel. For starters, none of their rooms are dorm-style. So for those of you who feel a bit anxious to share your space with strangers, you don’t have to worry! Their room options range from a single room all the way up to a two-bedroom apartment that could sleep up to six people. Alex from East Coast Contessa and I stayed in one of their two-bedroom apartments!
Murcia, Spain Weekend in my Red Dress
Back in February, I took a long weekend trip to Murcia, Spain. In Spain, we have these things called puentes. A puente is a bridge. It also means when you have several days off of work or school that coincide with a weekend. I had one of these back in February, so I used it to go visit a friend.
Have you heard of Murcia, Spain? Unless you’ve spent some time in Spain, you probably haven’t. Before my long weekend in Murcia, I had heard a little bit about the region. I knew that it was in the southeast corner of Spain and that there were some good beaches in the region. It had been on my list for awhile, so when my friend moved there to teach this fall, I made plans to go visit her.
The Cutest Hostel in Barcelona
On my way to the airport to fly to sunny Malta, I decided to spend a night in the cutest hostel in Barcelona. After all, it was Semana Santa (Spring break). I had the time, so I figured I might as well go up a day early as to not feel as rushed.
One thing I love writing about is how to travel on a budget. I find that so many people think that travel has to be expensive. They think that any trip to Europe costs thousands of dollars or euros. However it doesn’t have to break the bank. That’s why I love writing about places like Primavera Hostel.

Vienna House: A Dresden Historic Center Hotel
Do you know the feeling of looking out your window and feeling like you’re in a fairy tale? While this isn’t what I would consider to be a part of my everyday life, I got to experience the life royalty when I went to Dresden, Germany. You see, when you stay in a Dresden historic center hotel, all you have to do is take a peek our your window.
At the beginning of March, I met up with blogger friend Alex from East Coast Contessa in Germany for five days. In addition to visiting the famous capital of Berlin, we decided to add Dresden to our visit. This lesser-known city is full of charm. Our stay at the Vienna House made our visit to Dresden all the more enjoyable.

How to Spend Two Days in Butler County Ohio
I believe that no matter where you are, you can always learn something new. Our own backyards are the places that we often explore the least. When I went home to the United States over the Christmas holidays, I had the pleasure of spending two days in Butler County Ohio. Where is that? Well it’s the county just above Hamilton County, which is home to my hometown of Cincinnati.
Butler County is made up of several towns including Fairfield, Middletown and Hamilton, amongst others. I had driven through tons of times throughout my life. I had also come up to Jungle Jims before because what good Cincinnatian doesn’t do that? However other than that, I hadn’t really explored Butler County. Little did I know that I was in for a treat.
A Weekend in Luxury at a Berlin Luxury Hotel
“Some hotels are so nice that you barely have to venture out and explore the city,” Alex of East Coast Contessa said as we were making our way back to our lovely Berlin luxury hotel after exploring the Charlottenburg Palace.
I agreed with her as I envisioned a dip into the indoor pool after an afternoon workout in Club Olympus, their top floor gym and spa.
You see, Alex and I had both already been to Berlin. I suppose that’s the life of living in Europe. She lives only a train ride away in Prague, and I live a short and cheap Ryanair flight away in Spain. Since both of us have already seen a lot of the Berlin sights, we looked at our two nights at a Berlin luxury hotel as the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. And believe me, between her adjusting to life in a new country and my busy teacher schedule in Spain, we were both more than ready.
A Jord Watch: The Timepiece that Goes with Everything (GIVEAWAY!)
NOTE: There is a giveaway at the bottom of this post. Be sure to enter it!
When it comes to both shoes and watches, I’m very similar. I like to find something that will go with all of my crazy, colorful dresses. You see, I tend to be a bit of a bold shopper. I always seem to buy bright colors, bold patterns and lots of florals. As a result, the rest of my wardrobe consists of things to compliment my vibrant dresses, My new Jord watch is the perfect example of this!
Jord offers many different watch styles, all with a wooden band. I absolutely loved the simplicity of a wooden watch. It’s something simple yet classy. It’s something you can dress up or dress down. I chose a plum-colored clock face. It really has matched well with most if not all of my daily looks.
